To invent, you need a good imagination and a pile of junk" ~ Thomas A. Edison
Robots:
Scrappy: Our team mascot, which goes along to every competition was made in the summer of 2013. Scrappy was of course made out of scrap parts while the club adviser was bored. We use scrappy as a way to teach people how to drive due to the fact that scrappy doesn't drive straight. It is to teach students to adapt to robots when driving. The "driver" for our beloved drifter is a 2018 graduate from team 9080R, Brett Custer.
The Rebelizer: Our transportation, the Rebelizer is a Chevy truck that was made before Worlds 2018. To keep our team members from getting tired, their robot rides in the trailer of this small but strong truck. When not being used for transportation the truck has gone around and collected stickers from all the teams at worlds to show our support for all teams there. The "driver" of this off road beast is Kaitlyn Custer.
Spider: Though it is not made out of VEX parts this robot was made by Mr.Custer and sits within our club room. (2018-2019)
Robotic Twins: These robots were built for an obstacle course specially made by Rebel Robotics for a fundraiser at the Valley Mall and will probably be used again. Although these are twins they have two different drive systems (tank drive and 6 wheel drive). The arm is made up of an shoulder joint and wrist joint with a claw bot's claw attached. (2018 Summer)
Cue Bot: The robot was a factory build robot by Wonder Workshop. We were given it as a challenge to program the robot to draw letters with attachable markers. We now use it to teach programming (JAVA) to students. We received 12 more of these robots due to the fact that we got second place.
